Light weight front and rear hubs with flange | ||
| (Pictures will follow later) General The newly developed light weight hubs are both fully built from alu 7075-T6. The hubs are like our lightweight crankset constructed according to the FEM method. For an extra price both the front and rear hub can be equipped with ceramic bearings. There's no body weight limitation for the hubs. Front hub The new M5 front hub with flange only weighs 33 grammes! Rear hub Another sample of "light and yet stiff": the M5 rear hub of 167 grammes. Available with 20,24 or 28 holes. The axle is 15 mm in diameter and has quadruple bearings. Additional advantage is that the whole hub system has become more stiff because the left bearing is situated as close as possible to the left dropout. Assemblingwidth: 130 or 135 mm. Flangewidth: 56 mm. When ceramic bearings are used, the weight is reduced to 159 grammes! | ||

The stems of our M5 Carbon High Racer are also optimized. The result is an extremely light and telescopic stem of just 107 grammes, which is available in four different angles: 120, 127, 134 en 145 degrees. Blasted with glass pearls, matted black anodised 7020 aluminium. | ||

To provide more space for the right calf of race cyclists the now well known M5 side pull brakes have become even more compact.The outer cable has also a better guidance by arriving at the brake on a ten degrees angle. | ||

Carbon rims further optimized |

There's always a bit of turbulent air current caused by the never optimal connection between rim and tyre. Therefore we made a tiny cut-away directly below the brake surface, which makes the airflow stick more to the rim surface.As shown on the picture we do not need to use transparent coating, thanks to the way we produce the rims. This prevents adding unnecessary weight and gives a very smooth finish. We have plans to start producing a 23 and a 85 mm high full-carbon tube-rim. With this the spectrum of rims is nearly complete and provides a suitable type for any specialism. | ||
