M5 Light weight rear hub	21. Oktober 2006
Another sample of "light and yet stiff": the M5 rear hub of 164 grammes. For now available with 24 holes, but other spoke numbers will follow shortly. This hub is also made from alu 7075-T6 and like the light weight crankset it's build with the FEM method. The axle is 15 mm in diameter and has quadruple bearings. The 78 mm flange width is no less than 40 percent wider than standard, which results in a much more stable wheel because of the bigger umbrella shape. Additional advantage is that the whole hub system has become more stiff because the left bearing is situated as close as possible the the left dropout. Combine the rear hub with our front hub from light weight materials (left picture below) 16, 20 or 24 holes, Only in combination with straight pull spokes. Alu 7075-T6, 100 % black anodised of with aluminum/carbon hub cover, as shown on pictures. Assembling width: 100 mm. Flangewidth 82 mm, so extremely stable because of larger spoke angle. No limitation in bodu weight. Spectacular low in weight: 36 grammes at 16 hole hub, 39 grammes at 20 hole hub and 43 grammes at 24 hole hub. This is four to five times lighter than conventional hubs in the higher pricerange!


M5 Alu/carbon and full carbon rims	21. Oktober 2006
After many months of testing we present our M5 Full Carbon clincher and tubular rims. Available in 38 or 50 mm height. Width is 20 mm. Both are guaranteed for a tyre pressure up to 9.5 bar. Tailbag available for the M5 Carbon High Racer	17. Oktober 2006
The M5 Carbon High Racer can also be equipped with a large luggage compartment. The carbon tailbag offers 65 litres space and also optimizes the aerodynamics of the bike even further. The weigth of the tailbag is just 2 kilogrammes. A complete High Racer including the Tailbag is just 11 kilogrammes! The luggage compartment can be locked with a key.

Mont Ventoux by M5 Recumbent	8. September 2006
Maarten Broek sent us several pictures of the ascent of the Mont Ventoux with 5 M5 Recumbents. He writes: Beautiful windy trip. Heavy mistral and cold during the day of ascending. We managed to convince a lot of people of the comfort of the bikes. Also the bike rental at the bottom of the mountain. Also showed the M5 site. We did our annual promotion work once again!


Helmut Lechner erringt Silber auf dem 12 km Zeitfahren mit seinem M5 Carbon Low Racer	18. August 2006
Helmut Lechner (Österreich) zeigt ein starkes Rennen auf der HPV - Weltmeisterschaft 2006 in Frankreich. Nach einem schnellen Start kreuzt er eine Eisenbahnschiene mit 90 km/h. Dabei bricht unglücklicherweise eine Speiche in Helmuts Vorderrad, wodurch die Bremse schleift. Das erklärt den Zeitverlust von 3 Sekunden auf den Erstplatzierten. Trotz diesem Missgeschick mit der Speiche erreicht Helmut eine Durchschnittsgeschweindigkeit von 60 km/h und erreicht das Ziel in nur 9 Minuten und 40 Sekuden.
